INKAS® Has Been Announced as a Finalist of the Ontario Business Achievement Awards

INKAS® Armored Vehicle Manufacturing is honoured to announce that it has been named as a finalist of the Ontario Business Achievement Award (OBAA), Going Global category. The award recognizes excellence, innovation and leadership in Ontario’s export sector.

Focusing on the export strategies, in 2016 INKAS® developed new innovative products and opened new territories as well as strengthen its presence in the existing markets in order to bring more business to Ontario. While participating at the Ontario Business Mission to Israel led by Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario, the company has signed a multi-million agreement to build armored vehicles. In the nearest future, together with its partners INKAS® aims to expand into CIS countries such as Ukraine and Azerbaijan. In September 2016, the company launches its new line of vehicles at the 2nd Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition.

Hosted by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC), the OBAAs is a unique event that showcases some of the province’s most successful businesses and the positive impact they have had on Ontario’s economy. This year’s gala will be held on November 29, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

INKAS® Professional Vehicle Manufacturing Introduces a new Special Mobility Vehicle (SMV) line of products

INKAS® Professional Vehicle Manufacturing has officially announced the launch of a new line of Accessible Mobility Solution Vehicles to join its already-extensive roster of multi-purpose vehicles.
The new INKAS® Special Mobility Vehicle (SMV) will be introduced to the market within the next month. Constructed to meet the most stringent standards, the design and engineering of the SMV are specifically customized for people with special needs offering them a level of comfort and accessibility unparalleled in other vehicles. INKAS® has signed an agreement in order to customize and modify a batch of 85 units by extending the body without sacrificing the vehicles safety or reliability. The INKAS® SMV has been stretched to fit up to three wheelchair passengers offering them both spacious and comfortable transportation. The hand-crafted and quality upholstered interior includes hydraulic-powered hidden LED panels, modified ecoHVAC systems, improved air quality and purification systems and seat-integrated remote controls. INKAS® aims to deliver exceptional products and service by ensuring that any technological or functional request is taken into account when manufacturing its professional vehicles.

INKAS® aims to further grow its SMV line of products that is set to include Dodge ProMaster, Mercedes-Benz Metris, Chrysler Pacifica and Toyota Sienna vehicles. As an innovative technological feature, INKAS® skilled engineers have designed a subfloor ramp that facilitates easy and comfortable access to the van for any wheelchair passenger without assistance.

INKAS Armored at CANSEC

INKAS® showcased its upgraded Sentry APC at CANSEC 2016

INKAS® demonstrated the new generation of its Sentry APC to the global defense and security industry leaders at this year’s CANSEC show hosted by CADSI on May 25-26 at the EY Center in Ottawa, Canada. The new INKAS® Sentry has been upgraded and optimized for even better performance with riot control features including a powerful acoustic hailing and warning device as well as a durable body frame with a high ballistic protection level.

Apart from that, INKAS® introduced its special vehicle-mounted Gunfire Detection System that instantly detects the gunfire source location in case of attack. Developed by INKAS® , this unique system provides a complete 360-degree area of coverage.

As Canada’s largest defence and security show, CANSEC 2016 featured more than 350 Canada’s foremost defence companies showcasing their latest equipment, systems and innovations to a wide range of customers including government stakeholders from Canada and abroad. The event welcomed over 11,000 registrants and more than 60 foreign delegations.

There was a packed ballroom for FABTECH Canada’s opening day keynote address on March 22nd by Retired Maj.-Gen. David Fraser, COO of INKAS Armored Vehicles Mfg. Fraser shared experiences from both his military and private sector careers to offer attendees advice on how they can more effectively manage their operations to grow their businesses.

Fraser insisted that the military and private sector had more in common than one might think. In both, the team looks at a new recruit and wants to know how that person can benefit the operations to create a better outcome.

“Both groups are intensely proud of what they do and professional about what they do,” said Fraser. “The differences between the two are in the processes, environment and outcomes.”

INKAS® Group of Companies celebrates 20-year anniversary milestone

INKAS® Group of Companies is celebrating its anniversary as a leading provider of integrated security solutions. On Saturday, February 27th, more than 350 guests, including INKAS® employees, clients and partners, representatives of the financial sector, governments, embassies and diplomatic missions as well as industry leaders gathered to celebrate the company’s 20th milestone year. Extensively investing in research and development, INKAS® has built a reputation as an innovative security industry leader. Today it continues to pioneer new technologies and products to assure security for people, as well as for vehicles, financial transactions and buildings.

“While other companies in our industry have been closing down, we have remained strong throughout challenges. We have not ceased operations or reduced our workforce but have been expanding instead,” says David Khazanski, CEO, INKAS® Group of Companies. “We are particularly proud of our diligent and talented employees who have always been at the core of our success. Today we are here to pay a special tribute to them, as well as to our loyal clients and business partners for their trust and contribution to our strength, continued growth and development.”

The event took place in the lavishly decorated Riviera Parque Banquet Hall in Vaughan where the guests enjoyed a night of live music, acrobatic performances, sound and light shows, orchestral accompaniment and dancing. Throughout the night, six bands were playing live music of different genres and styles featuring tribute acts to various artists.

The Employee of the Year winners were announced during the night in recognition of their outstanding efforts. In addition, each division manager presented the 2015 performance results and plans for the year ahead. 2015 was a remarkable year of business expansion for the company. INKAS® established new manufacturing facilities in different regions as well as acquired several companies around the globe. Other impressive results include the grand opening of a new facility and showroom in Toronto; expansion of INKAS® Security services into the Ottawa region; a new line of models, including the first-ever armored 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 and ten new additions to INKAS® limousine line.

INKAS® has grown to over two hundred employees and several offices in Canada, Nigeria, Colombia, Ghana, Spain and Azerbaijan. The INKAS-built and armored vehicles have been successfully protecting and saving lives of officers and civilians all over the globe. Over the past years, the company has been actively developing its own technologies to attain higher efficiency.

Today INKAS® is steadily strengthening its position and gaining industry leadership through implementation of innovative production methods, technologies and practices.

A brand-new upscale INKAS® facility and armored vehicle showroom opened in North York

On Tuesday, December 8, INKAS® Group of Companies held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the official opening of its new facility located at 3605 Weston Rd., Toronto. Manufacturers, business partners, media representatives and community leaders joined INKAS® to commemorate the event.

The new facility serves as an office space for over 200 Toronto-based employees, a manufacturing plant and the first and only armored vehicle showroom in Canada. As the vast majority of the company’s clientele and business is based outside of Canada, the state-of-the-art showroom was crafted with the intent to showcase armored vehicles to foreign guests visiting the facility.

“Our new facility is all about innovation. We are locating our offices under the same roof so that we can easily get the sales force, the production force and the engineers together to talk and make our products even more innovative and more competitive,” says Ret. Maj.-Gen. David Fraser, COO, INKAS® Armored Vehicle Manufacturing. “This is an innovative facility that we are very proud of.”

Adriano Marcoccia, Administrative Assistant to Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti, extended congratulations on behalf of the City of Toronto. Since 1993, INKAS® has dedicated time to involving Canadians into the global manufacturing business, bringing new jobs to Ontario and positioning Canada not only as a national operator but also as a recognized international manufacturer.

Denis Krauss joins INKAS® Group of Companies as a Manager of Metaline

INKAS® Group of Companies announces the appointment of Denis Krauss as a Manager of Metaline. Denis Krauss brings over 30 years of leadership experience delivering innovation and driving strategic change within the organizations.

Krauss joins the executive leadership team to achieve the company’s long-term goals and maximize its productivity. Prior to Metaline, he worked as an Operations Manager for Debro Steel LP. Krauss has a long and proven track record in managing high performing teams, boosting efficiency and growth.
